Baby Zucchini

Baby zucchini is lean and cylindrical with a smaller stem end. Its skin is glossy and deep green in colour. Its crisp flesh is creamy white in colour. Its flavour is peppery and complex with grassy undertones. It is available year-round with a peak season in the summer months. Baby Green zucchini may be boiled, steamed, baked, pickled, deep-fried, braised or grilled. They can be sliced and added raw to salads. They pair well with tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, parsley, olive oil, and roasted meats.
